Not sure which sign you need? Start here
Temporary or permanent, indoor or out, budget or premium — a quick guide to choosing the right sign (and a tool that does it for you).
Start with how long it needs to last
The single biggest factor is lifespan, because it sets the material:
- A few weeks / an event — Correx board or a PVC banner. Cheap, fast, does the job.
- A couple of years — foamex, ACM (aluminium composite) or acrylic. Durable and smart.
- Long-term / permanent — built-up letters, an illuminated fascia or a tray sign. A 15–25 year structure that makes an impression.
Then: indoors or out?
Interiors lean to acrylic plaques, reception signs and wall graphics. Outdoors needs UV-stable materials and the right fixings — and if it needs to be seen at night, that means illumination (halo-lit or face-lit).
Still not sure? Let the tool decide
Most people don't know the jargon — that's completely normal. Answer a few plain-English questions and our Sign Finder will point you to the right option, then we'll prepare a fixed quote.
