How much does school signage cost?

School signage costs depend on type and quantity. A single welcome board with school name, contact and crest runs £180–£500. A complete wayfinding set (entrance, reception, halls, playground) usually falls £1,500–£3,500. Honours boards £200–£800; safeguarding and safety sign packs £150–£400. Send your school site plan or rough scope and we'll quote within a working day.

When can you install school signs?

We schedule school installs around your operations — usually during half-terms, INSET days, weekends or summer holidays so the school stays open and pupils aren't around live tools or fixings. For larger refurbishment jobs we work to your premises manager's programme. We can also handle one-off urgent installs (a damaged welcome board, a new safeguarding requirement) outside hours.

What are school signs made from?

For outdoor entrance and playground signs, aluminium composite (Dibond/Alupanel) printed with UV-stable inks — five-plus years outdoors, no warping or fade. For indoor honours boards, traditional timber or modern acrylic. For wayfinding, foamex or laminated panels. For safety/safeguarding signs, rigid PVC or aluminium panel. We match the material to where the sign lives and how long it needs to last.

Can you supply DfE-required and safeguarding signage?

Yes — we supply the standard required signage packs (safeguarding officer, fire assembly point, no entry, visitor reporting, slow-down driveway and emergency exit markings) sized and worded to current DfE and Ofsted expectations. If your school has specific wording from a recent audit, we print to that spec. We don't write the policy — that's your safeguarding lead — we produce the signage.

Can you match existing trust or school branding?

Yes — most academies and multi-academy trusts have a brand pack (logo files, colour codes, fonts, layout rules), and we work to those exactly. If you don't have brand assets, we'll work from your website, prospectus or existing signage to extract the colours and crest. Where artwork needs cleaning up or rebuilding to print quality, our designer handles it.

How long does it take from order to install?

Most school signage orders are designed, fabricated and ready to install within 7–14 working days from artwork sign-off. Tight deadlines (a new term, a rebrand, an Ofsted inspection coming up) — tell us upfront and we'll prioritise. Same-week turnaround is possible on standard signage if the artwork is print-ready.
