Frosted film comes in three forms — plain frost (clean etched-glass look with full privacy), patterned frost (geometric or organic patterns where light still comes through), and brand-cut frost (your logo cut from the frost so the brand reads as clear glass against the etched background). We also fit DDA manifestation strips on full-height glass.

How much does window frosting cost?
Window frosting typically runs £40–£80 per square metre supplied and fitted, with most office partition jobs landing £200–£800 depending on size and how much brand-cut detail is involved. Plain frost is the cheapest; brand-cut and patterned frost runs slightly higher because of design and cutting time. Send your glass dimensions and what you want frosted, and we'll quote within a working day.
Will frosted film make the room feel dark?
No — that's the main reason businesses choose frosted film over blinds. Frosted vinyl blocks visibility but lets daylight through almost unchanged. Meeting rooms, GP consult rooms and bathroom partitions stay bright while staying private. The trade-off: frosted film blocks the view both ways — fine for partitions and bathrooms, but worth knowing for offices that face a nice view.
Do you fit manifestation strips for full-height glass?
Yes — DDA-compliant manifestation strips are standard work for us. Building regulations require visibility markings on full-height and large glazed panels in commercial premises so people don't walk into the glass. We can fit plain manifestation dots/strips, branded manifestation that incorporates your logo, or pattern manifestation that matches existing decor. We'll advise on the spec needed for your building's compliance status.
Will the frost come off cleanly when we want to change it?
Yes — frosted film lifts off cleanly within five to seven years, leaving the glass clear with no etching or residue. Some of our clients refresh their brand-cut frost every couple of years as branding evolves. The exception is film left on glass for ten-plus years where the adhesive can fully cure — that needs a steam-and-scrape removal.
Do you have to take the glass out to fit frosted film?
No — frosted film fits onto installed glass in situ, no removal needed. Most office partition frostings take an hour or two per panel, fitted from the office side without disturbing the room layout. We work with squeegees and water (no glue mess), and the room is usable again as soon as the film is squeegeed dry.
What patterns and finishes are available?
More than people expect. Beyond plain and gradient frost, we offer geometric patterns, organic stripes, dot patterns, etched glass replicas, and full custom artwork cut into the frost. Logos can be cut from frosted film so the brand reads as clear glass; reverse cuts where everything except the brand stays clear are also possible.
