Acrylic signs work indoors and out. We use UV-stable Perspex (3mm to 20mm thick), bonded with marine-grade fixings outdoors and standoff mounted for the lifted gallery-style look. Vinyl logos, frosted finishes, full-colour print or layered builds — we match the spec to where the sign lives.

Acrylic signs typically run between £85 for a small single-colour name plaque and £750+ for a large standoff-mounted reception logo with multi-layer build. Outdoor building plaques and directory boards on multi-occupancy entrances usually fall £200–£500. Send us your sign size, what it says, and whether it's indoor or outdoor, and we'll quote within a working day.
Can acrylic signs be used outdoors?
Yes — outdoor acrylic signs are routine work for us. We use UV-stable Perspex (won't yellow in sunlight), bonded with weatherproof, marine-grade fixings rated for British weather. The trade-off: outdoor acrylic doesn't last forever — expect five to eight years before colours fade, depending on aspect and exposure. Indoor acrylic signs typically last decades.
What are the mounting options?
Three main options. Standoff mount uses chrome or stainless-steel barrels to lift the sign 15–25mm off the wall — the cleanest, most premium look. Flush mount sits the sign directly against the wall with concealed fixings — good for lower-budget jobs and space-constrained spots. Adhesive mount uses high-strength foam tape for lightweight signs on smooth interior walls only.
What sizes, colours and finishes can you do?
Almost anything. Acrylic comes in clear, frosted, opal-white, gloss black, gloss white and a full colour range. Thicknesses run 3mm (lightweight signs) up to 20mm (large architectural signs). Logos and lettering can be cut from vinyl, laser-engraved, full-colour printed onto the back surface (so the colour reads through clear acrylic), or fabricated as raised three-dimensional builds for more presence.
Will the acrylic yellow over time?
Not on indoor signs — interior acrylic stays clear for the life of the sign. Outdoors, cheap budget acrylic can yellow within a couple of years; UV-stable acrylic (which is what we use) holds clear for 8–10 years before any noticeable shift. We don't fit non-UV-stable acrylic outdoors — it's a false economy.
How long does it take from order to install?
Most acrylic signs are designed, fabricated and installed within 7–14 working days from artwork sign-off. Simple single-colour plaques can be ready inside a week; large multi-layer reception signs or full directory boards typically take two weeks. Tight deadlines (a launch, a fit-out, a rebrand date) — tell us upfront and we'll plan production accordingly.
